United Policyholders Insurance Workshop for Fire Survivors

Homeowners and renters whose insured homes were damaged or destroyed in the Octobers wildfires are invited to attend this workshop presented by United Policyholders, a non-profit consumer organization helping disaster survivors for over 25 years.

The following topics will be covered:

• Underinsurance: Do’s and Don’ts when answering questionnaires, hiring a lawyer. Speaker will be Lee Harris, President of the Consumer Attorneys of California.
•  Lender/lien/holdback releases: Keeping insurance dollars flowing during rebuilding. Speaker will be Bill Hedden, a claim professional.
•  City/County Building Code/Permit Job Card process: Speaker will be Steve Jensen, Santa Rosa Rebuild Permit Center Manager.
• Legislative briefing: Recap of Sacramento wildfire insurance reform bills.
