Debris Removal Information – New Resources Available; Right-Of-Entry Processing Center Open

As part of an ongoing partnership in response to the recent fires, the City of Santa Rosa and County of Sonoma have established the Sonoma County Consolidated Fire Debris Removal Program (Program) to focus on removal of household hazardous waste and other fire-related debris. A Debris Removal Frequently Asked Questions and other helpful information is now available for the community about this important issue at the Sonoma County Recovers website: www.sonomacountyrecovers.org/debris-removal.

A Debris Removal Community Meeting was held on October 26th with over 1,000 members of the public attending. Officials from numerous governmental organizations were on hand to provide a brief overview of debris removal efforts, answered frequently asked questions. A livestream of the Debris Removal Community meeting was recorded and can be viewed at www.sonomacountyrecovers.org/debris-removal.

In addition, a Debris Removal Right-of-Entry Processing Center is now open in downtown Santa Rosa to help property owners navigate the process. The Processing Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at 625 5th Street, Santa Rosa, between Riley St. and Humboldt St. and can be reached at 707-565-6700.
