United Policyholders Conducting Wildfire Recovery Survey

Posted on March 13, 2018

sUnited Policyholders (UP)  is seeking the help of survivors of the October 2017 wildfires to track insurance progress and problems related to the North Bay wildfire recovery. The information UP collects through this survey will help the non-profit organization and its local partners support the community during the long term recovery. Take the survey now.

The survey will track fire survivors’ progress or concerns with navigating insurance claims. If you lost your owned or rented home in the fire, please consider taking this survey to help UP understand how best to continue supporting you through your recovery. Your identity will be kept confidential when survey results are analyzed.

The survey will close after April 3.

United Policyholders, a non-profit consumer organization helping disaster survivors for over 25 years, has partnered with the County of Sonoma and City of Santa Rosa to offer a series of Roadmap to Recovery™ workshops.

UP’s website also offers tips, tools and resources relevant to the 2017 North Bay wildfires.  The main focus is on helping survivors navigate theirinsurance claim toward a full, fair and prompt settlement.  UPP also offers guidance on government aid, construction issues, hiring professional help, and deciding how and if you will repair, rebuild or buy a replacement home.
